------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Dec 18 00:27:25 -0800 2006 ------- I know this is a strange bug but it seems to appear more and more. Saving a document sometimes update the time stamp (displayed in the file browser) but the modifications made are not saved. The file is the same as it was when it has been loaded. It happened for me once under Linux (SimplyMepis, Debian based, OOo installed from official RPMs converted by alien). It was a standard document (native ODT) with pictures, bookmarks, hyperlinks, nothing special (around 50 pages). I was working on it for several days. One evening, I made changes (Changes record feature is off), save manually. Sometimes afterwards, I open the doc and ... what I'd done had disappeared ! I checked the time stamp, it was corresponding to my last manual save. I've a small usage of OOo under Linux, an extensive one under XP (6 hours a day) and it occured only once (never under XP). But this bug has led to renunciations : http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=28907 http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=49096 http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=50649 I know this is not a very solid case but perhaps it can be related with the issues about General Input/Output errors showing that OOo looses the link between the current file and its temporary versions while editing. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
