Formatting marks such as soft hyphens, non-breaking spaces and the like can be
entered as a part of conditional text (of course, as they are just unicode
characters), but they do not work as expected in the text.

For example, a soft hyphen doesn't appear at the end of the line and a
non-breaking space is treated just as an ordinary space when it is a part of
conditional text.
