OpenOffice (soffice script) takes about 50 seconds to startup before displaying in the terminal: javaldx: Could not find a Java Runtime Environment! The machine is a Debian/sarge (i386, Athlon processor). OpenOffice 2.1.0 was installed with the deb packages downloaded from fr.openoffice.org. The top command shows that kaffe is running during the freeze. More precisely, ps says: /usr/lib/kaffe/pthreads/jre/bin/kaffe-bin -classpath /opt/openoffice.org2.1/program JREProperties The workaround proposed in bug 47942 (LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5) has no effect here. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
