------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jan 3 20:03:12 -0800 2007 ------- Please also see bug 72905. The Windows installer for OpenOffice.org 2.1 does not display Vietnamese correctly, and apparently this problem applies to other languages as well. Vietnamese is precomposed Unicode, with 72 different vowels (12 base vowels, 6 tones), many of them having combined diacritics. The Vietnamese character set does not fit tidily into a section of the Unicode range: it has bits and pieces all over the place. Please see these character charts: http://vietunicode.sourceforge.net/charset/ http://vietunicode.sourceforge.net/charset/v3.htm Currently this bug is critical for our release of OpenOffice.org 2.1 in Vietnamese. We would very much appreciate it being fixed. :) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
