As I've already tried to explain in the windows file explorer you can associate
any random properly installed app with any random extension (as alternative
handler). You can for example have winzip an alternate odt handler just by doing
"open with" once on an odt file and selecting winzip in the app list. Or do the
same for acrobat reader (which would be dumb as acrobat can not read odt file
but the whole point is you can because the acrobat reader installer registered
the acrobat reader app properly in the system)

This is different from having an app the main default handler for an extension
(as the installer dialog prompts one to for office extensions)

When one tries the same standard windows explorer operation with openoffice it
fails, I guess because openoffice does not follow one windows installation rule
