Please follow this procedure: Type a hard space in the Writer Window (Ctrl+Space). Copy it to the clipboard. Now, open the Tool menu > AutoCorrect, and on the Replacement tab, type "?" in the Replace field, and copy the hard space from the clipboard to the Replace by field, and type "?".
