------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Jan 8 09:37:58 -0800 2007 ------- The choice of the letter 'A' to show the effect of the formatting style under the formatting buttons is a poor one. This is because it is a challenge to distinguish an italicized one from a normal one due to the fact that the letter already has a sloping side to it, just increasing that angle to show italics isn't enough. If you use a letter with a left-most straight edge, i.e. 'B', or 'I', the difference will be more apparent and easier for the user to distinguish. Perhaps the letter choice was a way to differentiate OOo from the MS-Word or deal with internationalization issues but whatever the motivation the current solution is suboptimal and needs to be addressed. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
