We've organized seminars and quite some training courses on OOo, published numerous articles and news on it, given away thousands of OOo CDs. But due to this bug we have held off upgrading to OOo 2.x. Now I notice that there is a security issue (http://www.ngssoftware.com/advisories/high-risk-vulnerabilities-in-the-openoffice-suite/) that is only fixed in OOo 2.1. It means we either have to take the risk of being attacked or take the risk of sending people PDF's with box chars!
