A little on the context: I have no idea how CVS works, but I guess a lot can be achieved without big fuss, if I can/am allowed/learn how to use CVS for these kind of
purposes.

Taking an example from SourceSafe (which I am lets say versant in): I would need to check in (pardon, check out first and then check in .) some of the files in the safe.

There must be a simpler way than providing diffs and patches. Or am I wrong?

I assume anyhow, that with testtool I have just scratched the surface and there would be some more to come - all the text files that kick in beyond first and topten for instance.

So coaching me in CVS (point me to some sandbox, where I can learn how to
pull strings etc) would probably make sense. And maybe my experience would
turn out into a nice wiki page for others who are lining up.

Regards

I am back from x-mas vacation and a common cold. A patch would be the best
because I can add it asap into the sources!
