I attached a writer document that demonstrates the problem. I pasted a section from http://nl.openoffice.org that contains two images. One of those is shown in the document, the other one isn't. The url of both images starts with http://nl.openoffice.org, so according to the theories in this issue both images shouldn't load. I think the problem is with the file type. The first image is a jpg file, the second is a png file. It seems to me that the png's are the ones that fail to load.
