There is a problem in mail merge function, when you use a txt file as the data
source. I have attached one file, where you can have a look at the problem.
Configuration for data source: database type - text, field separator - space,
text separator - ", file format extension - txt. If you change the field
separator to space this testcombination won't work, but the problem ist still
there.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
FILE:
text2 text3 text4
"3" "456" "stringtest"
--------------------------------------------------------------------
If you include this file in OO, then all texts are interpreted as strings but if
you put a space after the 4 in the second text, so it is "4 56", so the last
text "teststring" changed in openoffice in the data source view to 0.
If you have a look at the datatypes afterwards in OO, only "teststring" is a
number, the other both text are strings, but this ist not right and propably the
problem.
If you have further questions please let me know!

P.S. One other question, what is the difference between 1.9 and 1.1.4 - why are
there two versions?

Thank you, Dani
