May I resume that your want an option "Print without creating a complete preview
document" similar to the proceeding as we had it in OOo 1.1?
For many applications the current way with the complete preview containing all
document pages is very useful, but I also believe that for really numerous
addresses there should be an option that allows to click through all selected
addresses in step 6 of the mail merge assistant, but without creating the many
pages for the complete documents for all addresses in step 7.
