------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jan 14 19:37:58 -0800 2007 ------- I agree there are many issues being marked as duplicates of this one, and they aren't quite exactly the same problem. This issue really needs to be resolved for the next release instead of putting it off for so long (over 2 years). There doesn't need to be a new "table model" just implement tables as per the open document spec. I have posted about this at http://danieldebyl.blogspot.com/2007/01/ooo-doesnt-support-spanning-table-rows.html The problem: If you merge a row OOo doesn't use the the @table:number-rows-spanned on the cell as specified in the Open Document spec instead it changes the table to contain nested tables. If you only merge columns then it uses the @table:number-columns-spanned as per the spec. Because of this the HTML is actually technically correct as the xml of the OOo doc contains nested tables. However, the borders in the HTML will never line up as they do in the document which is the problem. NB: I am posting to this issue as the one I created was marked as a duplicate of this one, see #60238 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
