------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jan 17 03:03:02 -0800 2007 ------- During fixing issue 73329, I ran into the problem that incompatible changes in the "basic" module caused build breakage in module "binfilter". Unfortunately, since "binfilter" lives far in the past, there's no chance to reasonably adapt its code to compile with the new "basic" API. As a consequence, I'll copy the "basic" module to "binfilter/bf_basic", make all other binfilter code use "bf_basic" instead of "basic", and then strip "bf_basic" to what seems necessary to not break binfilter functionality.
