User rainerbielefeld changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ CC|'' |'rainerbielefeld' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Component|framework |ui -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ever confirmed| |1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keywords| |oooqa -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- QA contact|[EMAIL PROTECTED] |[EMAIL PROTECTED] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jan 18 11:02:04 -0800 2007 ------- I checked with "2.1.0 German version WIN XP: [680m6(Build9095)]" and can confirm that there seem to be some inconsistencies. Preliminary note: There are different ways to close a toolbar (as the visible one in 'toolbar.png'. These different ways should have different results: With menu "View - Toolbars - "toolbar you want to close"' a visible toolbar can be closed permanently, when you eliminate the check by clicking the correspondent toolbar name. With the context menu visible in 'toolbar.png' the toolbar can be closed temporarily, what means that it disappears after you clicked "'Close Toolbar', but it will reappear if a new context makes that toolbar required. Hou can find more information under <http://specs.openoffice.org/appwide/toolbars/Toolbar_content_spec.odt> It seems that the second way does not work reliable. Steps to reproduce: 0. Start OOo 1. Open new WRITER document 2. Menu 'View - toolbars - Form Controls' to open form controls toolbar 3. Now you can click the 'Numbering on/of' icon several times or alternatively press 'F12' several times. A numering will appear and disappear without any influence for visibility of the toolbar. That all only for interest 3.1 now eliminate the numbering, if it is still visible, with an additional <F12> or click on the icon 4. Open the toolbar context menu by clicking the little 'down arrow' of the toolbar and click "Close Toolbar" The toolbar will disappear as expected 5. Now click icon "Nubering on/of", so that a numbering will appear again Expected: Toolbar "Form Controls" should remain invisible, because a numbering is no context where the toolbar can be useful Actual: Toolbar "Form Controls" reappears You can provoke that unexpected appearing also with other actions, for example by inserting a table. In the a.m. specification the toolbar I used for my test should have a close status "Permanently", but it seems that the actual mode is "Temporarily"? I did not see the problem I demonstrated in my test with the toolbar "Table". --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
