Hi Laci,

Sorry, I don't fully get the meaning of this. Do you mean that,
additionally to the >YYYY. MM. DD.< formats, you'd need
>YYYY. M. D< as well? It should be no problem to define more formats,
but the number formatter's list box will get bit bloated after a while..

This may be a problem of the dialog presenting the formats, I will have
to investigate it. Your approach (setting the default="true" attribute)
seemed to be correct.

This would be possible. But the separator should really be the official
date separator, which in this case seems to be more '.' than '-'.
Unfortunately a long form ". " including the blank is not everywhere
supported through the entire suite. As opposed to older versions, OOo2.0
understands ISO-8601 date input for every locale now, so YYYY-MM-DD
input should work regardless of which date separator is used.

If the short forms aren't to be used they can be defined as duplicates
of the medium forms. It is only that they have to be present (up to
index 49) because of old mechanisms how they are treated when switching
between locales. Hopefully we'll get rid of that in one of the next
versions.

Thanks
Eike
