2007 -------
I designed business in OOo. The text in each cell is turned by 90° using the 
option right-to left (vertical). Creating a PDF-File using the built in feature 
turns the used symbols from various fonts for phone, mobile and fax to a normal 
left to right position within the pdf-document.
Creating a PDF-file using ghostscript 8.54 and FreePDF XP 3.7.0.2 gives the 
expected result. I attach the original odt, OOo.pdf and FreePDF  files, so you 
can see the example by yourself.
