To the user, this might appear as a major compatibility issue. I am preparing a
submission to a scientific journal and guess what, they want a .doc file.
Preparing everything with OO, its not nice to see my bibliography disappear when
I do the final export to mswd ! 

I use the following manual workaround, which could be used by the export script
I think: make the bibliography unprotected, so that you can select it as text in
the OO version, then copy paste it to the .doc version. The citations in the
text are correct, simply, they are no longer active citations, and the
bibliography is just normal text.

Filter could do this, with a proper warning ??
