------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jan 28 15:46:40 -0800 2007 ------- Configuration: Windows XP professional SP2 Build: OpenOffice.org 2.1 This issue successfully replicated however here I add some more remarks. As the original comment states, the capitalized word in the middle of the sentence is not marked as error. For example in the sentence “I am Buying a car”, “Buying is not underlined as error. Even enabling “Check Capitalization” does not resolve the problem. I tried the same sentence in Microsoft Word 2003 where it recognizes that the capitalized word is not correct. Therefore it underlines it with green color since it is not spelling error (spelling errors are underlined with red color in Ms 2003). I also noticed that even in Ms 2003 not all words that start with capital letter in the middle of the sentence are underlined as errors. In fact, the only case that the spell check recognizes the error is when; the typing mistake is a capitalized verb (not capitalized adjective/nouns) in the middle of the sentence. For example, the sentence “He is a Shy boy” will not be recognized as error even in Ms 2003 while the sentence “I’m Wearing a black jacket.” is recognized in Ms 2003. Open office 2.1 does not recognize any capitalization error whether or not the capitalized word in the middle of the sentence is verb or something else. It is reasonable that enabling “Check Capitalization” should at least do some degree error checking (at least for verbs as in Ms 2003). I conclude/ confirm “Check Capitalization” does not do any help in recognizing capitalized word. Also for people who are unfamiliar how to access the “Check Capitalization” option and other feather just follow the following steps: 1. Press F7 when you have your open office writer open. 2. A window will pup up. Then press the “Options” button at the lower left corner. Another window will open. In the Options list you will see a few check boxes. From there find “Check Capitalization”. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
