------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Feb 1 23:18:50 +0000 2007 ------- I successfully replicated the problem on my machine. I'm using Windows XP SP2 operating system and have OpenOffice 2.1 installed. Here are the steps I went through to replicate the problem 1. Open OpenOffice Writer. 2. Enable Asian Language Support (If it is already enabled skip to step 3) by going to Tool-->Options. Expand "Language Settings" on the left pane and select Languages under it. Check "Enabled for Asian languages" option on the bottom of the window. 3. Open Drawing Toolbar (Views --> Toolbars and make sure Drawing is checked in the submenu). 4. Select the vertical toolbox on the Drawing Toolbar(7th from left). Insert some symbols like phone symbol (Insert --> Special characters) 5. Export to pdf (File --> export to pdf). 6. The symbol is aligned horizontally instead of vertically in the pdf file. Note: If you have Adobe Acrobat Professional installed and you convert to pdf by printing to the "Adobe PDF" printer instead of using "Export to pdf" option then it converts fine. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
