I was unable to recreate a different (but similar) bug on Windows XP
configuration in OO 2.0.3 build. It does seem to print the slide, however
with blank page preceding it. Here are the steps I used:

1) Create a slide in Impress
2) Insert an object [Click Insert --> Forumla]
3) Select print [Click File --> Print]
4) Click Options button and check handout and grayscale
5) Click ok.

Result/Outcome:
It does print the slide, however the first page is always a blank. The slide
is printed on the second page and it is not in ‘handout’ format.

Another similar bug can be created by following the same steps in creating
slides with a different background/template. However, choosing the B&W option
for printing instead of grayscale (in step 4). In this case, The background
is not printed at all. The good thing is that the first page printed is no
longer ‘blank’. The corresponding slide does print on the first page,
however, it is still not in a handout format.

I found printing in B&W option or grayscale option to reveal inconsistent
results. It seems there are several issues with printing B&W or grayscale.

Additionally, if various slides and objects are inserted in the presentation,
there are varied problems in printing as is indicated in this issue: 62150.
