Just a comment: In an Excel 2003 with English UI neither CODE nor CHAR support
Unicode, not even when Korean language support is switched on and with Korean
Regional Settings. A =code("가") results in 63, which is the code for a question
mark, because Excel doesn't convert the character. So which Excel version does
support Unicode with the CODE and CHAR functions?
