The problem is like this:
Since CWS oolinguforso is integrated we have to implementations of spellchecker,
hyphenator and thesaurus availbale.
Thus when creating a thesaurus via it's service name it is undefined which one
gets created. Here it happens to be the OOo thesaurus, and for this one there is
no en-US dictionary installed...

Since the order of appearance in the registry for services can not be controlled
by the setup we have no way to make sure which of both may be instantiated if
only the service name is used.

The only solutions are:
- to use the repective implementation name 
  or
- to use the LinguisticServiceManager as describes in the previous comment
