hyph_fi_FI.dic, as found in
http://ftp.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/contrib/dictionaries/hyph_fi_FI.zip

is derived from a file licensed under the LPPL, but it violates at least
paragraph 6d of the LPPL.

Needed information: Either distribute the original file as well, or (better)
name the file and the version of the file which the derived work is based on.
The LPPL requests "Information that is sufficient to obtain a complete,
unmodified copy of the Work."

The LPPL can be found at http://www.latex-project.org/lppl.txt

The README has most of this information; one might argue that the information is
sufficient, but it doesn't include version information.

This Finnish hyphenation dictionary for the ALTLinux LibHnj library
was converted in 2003-11-03 by Jarno Elonen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
from TeX hyphenation patterns in "fihyph.tex" as described at
http://lingucomponent.openoffice.org/hyphenator.html.

Here are the acknowledgements from the original pattern
file:

First release January -86 by Kauko Saarinen,
Computing Centre, University of Jyvaskyla, Finland

Completely rewritten January -88. The new patterns make
much less mistakes with foreign and compound words.
The article "Automatic Hyphenation of Finnish"
by Professor Fred Karlsson is also referred

8th March -89 (vers. 2.2), some vowel triples by Fred Karlsson added.
  9th January - 95: added \uccode and \lccode by Thomas Esser

  Patterns may be freely distributed
