This means: <quote> <textline> This is a modified version of the <text> elementary type. If the first character encountered is a left parenthesis, it is equivalent to a <text> string. If not, the token is considered to be the rest of the characters on the line until end of line is reached (some combination of the CR and LF characters). </quote> So actually what we already write is perfectly standard.
