In my view this bug did not exist in OOo a few months ago but I do not remember what 2.0 flavour I used back then. I will attach two OOo Writer files here, one that triggers the bug and one that does not trigger it. They differ only in the presence / non-presence of the mentioned UTF-8 character in the Hyperlink, as may be seen from the following xmldiff output of the unpacked content.xml: # xmldiff OOo.testcase.buggy/content.xml OOo.testcase.bugfree/content.xml [update, /office:document-content[1]/office:body[1]/office:text[1]/text:p[1]/draw:a[1]/@xlink:href, http://maps.google.de/maps?f=q&hl=de&q=Strae+42,+Buzz&z=16&om=1] Hence I conclude that the "ß" UTF-8 character triggers this bug.
