Hi,

this behaviour is not a defect. The guy who has produced this document has
probably linked content of three sheets to another worksheet, deleted the sheet
with the refferenced cells and inserted two sheets after that. The result is
that the same three sheets exist twice, with different names and three of them
hidden, but they exist in the used range for the SUM(). So the result is
correct.

Have a look at the left area of the statusbar, you will see that the document
contains eight sheets but only five are shown. Go to Formmat-Sheet-Show and
select all Sheets shown here. Press Ok and have a look at the values and the
position of the sheets.

Deleting or moving the former hidden sheets to the End position and therefore
out of the summation range will give you the expected result.

The solution used by Calc for storing linked data is not optimal in this case
and is on the agenda for a later version of OOo.

Frank
