I had my user interface language set to Dutch, while my documents was written in English. Tbis was the cause of very annoying "bugs"/behaviour, even though I set the language of my document to English. First of all it was very hard to change the language of my document to English and make my spellchecker work. Eventually I fixed this by selecting all my text amd changed the language in the font-settings!!! (I can see why you want to have the possibility to assign a language to a certrain text, but I don't think any user will expect it to be able to change it in the font settings...) Let alone when you want your entire text to be in Enlgish, and you expect to set this is the options window and everything still keeps being assigned to Dutch. But now I was writing on and on and had 28 pages and was adding a picture. It immediately said: illustratie, instead of illustration (just like artikel instead of article in my reference list, but I already learned to live with this issue). But now I wanted to make a illustration index, and this kept empty. At this point I changed my user interface language to english, et voila: All issues resolved.
