------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Feb 25 23:20:03 +0000 2007 ------- I tried today newest build OOo 2.2 m9 (provided by Pavel Janik)on Windows XP. Several serif-fonts - especially when using small sizes (<10pt., but effect occurs, depending on font, with e.g. 12pt. too) - show on print a very unsatisfying result (printer was an inkjet Canon i550). Some characters ( e.g. H, l, b, t) look like there are 'scratches' around the 'upper half'. 'Small' characters like uncapitalized o, e, a, s ..., which don't exceed the 'under half' look better. (sorry I'm not a specialist in typography). Font's I've tried (I've printed them several times, to be sure it was not paper/ink or bad moon-jupiter conjunction ...): Frutiger 47LightCN (Sans-serif, Truetype by Adobe): Fine DejaVu Sans (Sans-Serif, TrueType, modified Bitstream Vera): Fine DejaVu Serif (Serif, TrueType, modified Bitstream Vera): Bad Linux Libertine (Serif, TrueType, by Philipp H. Poll): Bad Times New Roman (Serif, OpenType, default by Microsoft XP): Bad --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
