I did not want to load Calc and Write, for the very important reason that there does not seem to be a UK English version of these yet?!. In my experience Base has been _very_ buggy and so I was keen to load the latest stable version and deal with the US English. I discovered that Calc and Write had been removed, even though the 0Oo 2.0.x directory and some of the folders in it had not been removed. This is bad practice. I was not warned that Calc and Write were to be blown away by loading completely different components - I would have stopped. Open Office should set a high standard and have good manners to encourage people to make use of it and provide a benign office computing set of tools.
