I have tried to open the same offending file with the new beta version of open
office 2.0 and the problem persists. apparently there was an intermediate
version for which this problem was resolved but both for version 1.1.4 and for
the upcoming version 2.0 this problem still exists. My suspect is that it has
never been properly solved. I therefore have to reopen the issue hoping that it
will be solved for the final 2.0 version
