This issue is mainly about the question:

Why does the option dialog show an always disabled option that the user cannot
activate at all.
And if you really want to show it: why is only the option itself greyed-out, not
the heading as well.

The option is in a mac-build as well, and doesn't make any sense there at all.

wrt. the translation thing: An english original string is OK if it is clear
what's the option/string is about. The english string for the quickstartes is
"enable systray quickstarter" and that doesn't make it clear at all. Esp. when
you have the broken german string that apparently tries to tell something 
different.

Where the desktop file goes doesn't matter at all to me. It is that it is
packaged at all when not available, as with the entry in the options dialog 
itself.
