------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Mar 11 08:11:43 +0000 2007 ------- When any of the ligatures ff, fi, fl, ffi, ffl, long st or st (Unicode U+FB00..U+FB06) is at the beginning of a word they are not counted as a part of the word (which they should). The most notable result is that spell-checking and hyphenation component are not given the whole word and therefore they don't work correctly. Also word count from OpenOffice.org Writer menu "Tools > Word Count" miscalculates words. You can test this issue with the following words when "fi" is the ligature u+FB01: final (two words: "fi" [=U+FB01] and "nal") infinite (one word) Shalafi (one word) All the ligatures U+FB00..U+FB06 work the same way. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
