2007 -------
I get the same problem in 2.0.4 from Kubuntu 6.10 on PPC. So the problem is not
likely the dual core nor a defect in XP or the build for XP.

When I open particular documents, which were created by OOo in the first place,
the CPU usage for OOo steadily climbs up to as close to 100% as it can manage.
Nothing can be done with OOo after that, even if I wait a long time, the screen
will not even refresh.

I can send one of the offending documents out of band, but cannot post it here
as it is an exam which will be given later.
