The Generic printer shouldn't even be visible when using CUPS; it would seem
that you are suffering from issue 37488; the CUPS intitialization does not work
correctly in OOo at the moment. This can lead to all kind of problems when
printing including the one you describe.
Alas, the fix for that problem is not in the master yet.
