------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Mar 23 16:33:16 +0000 2007 ------- In some forums is a tip how to make the start of openoffice faster. 1. disable the JavaRE. If somebody enable Java he should know that this make the start of OO quite slow. There should be a little MsgBox-Info if somebody enable the JRE. 2. But more important is the memory settings in extra/options/openoffice.org/ memory. This detailed (and quite technical) option dialog should be behind a "advanced"-button. It should just be for advanced users which knows what they do. But instead of this dialog there should be something like performance- profiles. The standard-settings (WinXP; graphic-cach and memory per object) are not good for the performance of OO. 2a. There could be other standard-settings. 2b. Or the installer knows on which machine OO runs and set the memory settings based on that information. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
