------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Mar 4 05:57:20 -0800 2005 ------- Autonumbering works well unless you delete a record. For example, if I create six records and then delete them and then add another three, the latter three will be ID'ed 7,8,9 rather than 1,2,3 even though they are the only records present. Is this preferable? I suppose there may be some who would find it necessary to keep the number unique even if they deleted the record, but for most simple purposes it would seem best if it used some form of "smart autonumbering". Perhaps even a feature that would allow one to "reindex" one's autonumbering field. Otherwise users who have a high frequency of changes to their database records could end up with id 7583750320 when they only have 300 records. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
