Just increase space on the master if that's the problem. If the problem is space on the mirrors they then either have to increase their space or do partial mirroring (like leaving Sparc out or whatever). And eh, why do we need stuff like 1.0.x on the mirrors still? If Debian followed the "don't change what we add so the mirrors don't get a problem" we never would have included amd64 (that was exactly the problem why amd64 got delayed. Space on the mirrors. What did we do? Let the mirror choose what to mirror of the 12 archs... - Yes, ftp.debian.org also is only a mirror...)
