Now copy it and paste it somewhere else in the document: now the objects are no longer on the grid, which makes it impossible to edit the copied drawing. If I reposition the copied drawing slightly, the objects do snap back to the grid. So there is a work-around. IMHO, the snap-to grid should be relative to the frame they are in, not to the page. If this were the case then the fine positioning of frames would not matter.
