IIRC the coloured tabs vanished when we added the native look and feel support.
I don't know enough about that to judge whether these are contradicting
features. Anyway, if coloured tabs would take considerable effort to implemenet
them I doubt that we will work on it.
I notify a developer from the gsl team for a comment about this.
