I happen to be using the CLCL cliboard manager and it hangs Open Office. This appears to be consistent between Writer and Calc as those are the only 2 apps that I use. Basically, if I open a Writer document and then do a little bit of typing and cutting and pasting and then leave the document open for a while (5-10 min) then I get the lockup issue between OO and CLCL. They will remain locked with each other until I go into task manager and kill one or the other. It seems to be a bit sporadic, but I have the best luck reproducing by following these steps. 1. Make sure CLCL is running 2. Open Writer 3. Wait 5 min (this is importannt...don't know why, but it is) 4. Copy some text from another application and try to paste it into Writer 5.
