I know the behavior is incorrect... :) There is no way to move a range of paragraphs from one place to another place in a document without affecting any other paragraph while keeping the selection styles intact.... I will wait for you to confirm this... Or dismiss this bug. Even if you find a way to do this, I believe that developers should make an effort to provide a consistent environment to users... OO has gone a great effort to do this...
