A) As your screenshot shows, using a proper font solves the problem
B) You don't even try to answer my questions
C) I'm not sure whether the font in your last screenshot is common enough to be
worth to be added in OOo's builtin fallback list.
D) Your font appalingly looks like SimSun, so I'm not even sure whether the font
you selected is actually used or whether OOo or fontconfig fallback to SimSun or
a clone of it. (where we would be back at the problem to please identify the
font OOo actually uses)
Even when it is worth to be added, please file a new issue (flagged as
Enhancement) against the gsl project. Feel free to add me to the cc field of the
issue and/or mention the issue number here.
In case it is just a rip-off of SimSun that was given a fancy name, then the
issue probably will be rejected.
Please provide the name of the fontfile itself (foobar.ttf), the english
fontname, or attach a PDF-export of the sample document to the new issue. (not
to this issue)
