------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Mar 6 15:15:36 -0800 2005 ------- Open new document. Initial/default font is Times New Roman, 12 pt. Change font to 10 pt. Enter some line(s) of text. Left arrow back from the end of text. Right arrow EXACTLY to end of text and type. 10 pt size is maintained. Left arrow back from the end of text. Right arrow EXACTLY to the end of text, then right arrow once more. Enter more text; the size reverts to the default 12 pt. Backspace just EXACTLY over the 12 pt text and no further. Enter more text; it appears at the override 10 pt size. At the end of text, change font to Verdana (or just a different font) 36 pt. Type some text; it appears in that size. Right arrow once beyond the end of text. Type more text; the font and size revert to the default, Times New Roman 12 pt. Delete that new text via the backspace key, so that insertion point again abbuts Verdana 36 pt text. Type more text at the end of document. The override font and size of Verdana 36 pt continues. I appears that right arrow at the end of the document text causes Writer to think the insertion point has moved to a new paragraph that carries the default font and size. Writer should instead consider such a right arrow to be a null action and maintain the logical insertion point, with associated formatting et al., where it was before the right arrow. This sounds like it may touch in the area of this previous, fixed/closed issue: > http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=13592 > > Unexpected font changes at end of line > > The font changes at the end of line if the font in the current style is > different from the current font and trying to move past the end of line. > To reproduce: > - create a new text document > - right click->Edit Paragraph Style->Font change size to eg. 10pt from 12pt > - in the Text Object Bar at the top change font size to 12pt > - type a character > - press right arrow (note the font size changed to 10pt) > - press undo (note the font size changed back to 12pt) Best regards --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
