OOo should use linked indexes as default.

At the moment it is possible to create a linked topic of content, but this is a
lot of work to do especially if you don't want to have a TOC with blue
underlined text...and if you want to have links in your text which are vivible
links (blue underlined text).

I didn't find a way to create a linked index of tables, graohics,... at all...

Even "the enemy" allows you to create linked indexes... OK, you have to press
[ctrl] to use the links, but it's possible even for indexes of tables, 
graphics,...


BTW: I wan't sure about the subcomponent ==> so I chose "ui"
