------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Apr 21 19:43:27 +0000 2007 ------- A great enhancement to Base would be to allow to put put text fields, like those used for mailing, into Base forms documents. I mean something similar to datasource, but using the current database instead of selecting one in the list, and with fields displaying values form the current row. That way, I could type some text, and include values from the database into that text. For example, I could make a template letter, with fields for name and address, and navigating into the database, I could choose and print only the letter I need. It would be similar to mailing, but without the need of a document external to the database. And it could be mixed with input boxes as well. I saw a similar function in FileMaker Pro. In that software, if I put a field name between < > into a text, this is replaced by the field value in Use mode. But in OOo, fields would be better than using special characters to achieve that. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
