Can you please try using a Cygwin snapshot?

It's easy and painless. Get the latest cygwin1-2007mmdd.dll.bz2 from here
<http://cygwin.com/snapshots/>. Unpack it, stop *ALL* your cygwin processes,
backup your current cygwin1.dll, overwrite the old cygwin1.dll in X:/cygwin/bin/
with the new snapshot.
Note, the new dll has to be renamed from cygwin1-2007mmdd.dll to cygwin1.dll.
Reboot ;) (Not necessarry if all cygwin processes were stopped, but it's
windows ...)
Use `uname -a` to verify that you are using the new dll.

Now cross your fingers and start a new build ;)
