------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Apr 23 10:27:11 +0000 2007 ------- Dear all, I think I've solved my problem with writer crashes. Thanks to God, the crashes (see above) appear not to be caused by a bug in OpenOffice 2.2, nor by a broken font. I fond the solution as I started OO via console “$ soffice”. While starting I could read the following: ------ (process:10243): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library (soffice.bin:10243): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library. Using the fallback 'C' locale. ------- After having started despite the error, writer crashed as usual every time I tried to choose a special character from “Times New Roman” scrolling up and down. However, as I started writer from root console “# soffice”, the error message cited above did not appear, since the root account uses the en_US locale. => The result: I cannot reproduce the crash. (However I is a bit strange that OO 2.1 worked fine in the same environment.) Sorry for bothering you in vain. Meanwhile I'll think how to fix my locale issue.
