------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Apr 23 11:18:04 +0000 2007 ------- "Of course all 'invalid' word count data will be calculated if the word count is requested (e.g., when opening the dialog or storing the document)." Do you mean "recalculated"? "If you have a document with a wrong word count, the word count will not be updated if you store the document again without modification. At least it should not. Which version do you use?" I'm using OOo for Windows 2.2.0 (official download). I'm not clear on when the count is recalculated: above you seem to imply that it should be recalculated when opening the word count dialog or saving the document, but presumably you mean "the word count is recalculated when word count/save is requested if the document was modified since it was last calculated"? This is useful to know because if the word count is always recalculated when the document is saved then there's little point my trying to save a document with the wrong count, whereas if it's only recalculated if the document is edited then as soon as I detect a wrong count I can save the document and see if that captures the wrong count. I can also examine the XML. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
