Writer in OO 2 doesn't keep the current position of the previous window. Writer in OO 1 like other word processors keeps it. The test was performed on Windows and Linux platforms. I think this issue is related to the fact that in OO 1 Navigator is common for all windows, but in OO 2 every window has separate Navigator. I don't discuss here Navigator behavior, however I think the old Navigator is more useful.
